Welcome to LERN 50: College Success!  This course will focus on personal growth and development, academic study strategies, and critical and creative thinking.

Students who have not successfully completed an online course are HIGHLY recommended (not required) to attend the class orientation.

Before the orientation, please review the following handouts:  How to Sign-in to Insight and Student Quick Start Guide.  These handouts are located in the side bar under Helpful Resources.  Once you have review this material, you should create your login to Insight and then access class which starts.

The orientation is OPTIONAL for students who have successfully completed an online class.

I know for some of you this will be your first online class and you may have some anxiety about it. In addition to the class orientation, I am available on campus to work with students face to face over the course of the semester if needed.  I hope this will ease your anxiety about taking an online class.

There are NO madatory class meetings on-campus.

Special Note:  The textbook for this class is:
Your college experience: Strategies for success 11th edition by Gardner.

The ISBN is: 9781457637315.

Please feel free to email me if you have any questions.  I look forward to working with you this semester!

Best,
Shaun
